Lake Hollywood Remote Camera (10)
We placed a remote camera near Lake Hollywood to try to capture pictures of our radio-collared female, B265. We'd hoped she had kittens this year, and wanted to gather more data with the cameras. Due to restricted access to certain areas, we couldn't put the cameras in a ideal spot. We got some cool pictures, but no evidence of kittens. -
Griffith Park Remote Camera 1 (37)
We placed remote cameras in various areas around Griffith Park just out of curiosity to see what pictures we got and to find out if we were catching all the bobcats in the areas we had traps! The pictures are fun to see, and a non-invasive way to learn more about the wildlife in the area. These are a compilation of photos from all the cameras. Sometimes you might see the trapping cage in the photo and visual lures we used to attract bobcats to the area. -
Bobcat Trapping Photos September 2010-December 2010 (8)
We worked in Griffith Park from September 2010 to January 2010 and caught 7 individual bobcats during this time. We caught a bunch of other non-target animals also such as skunks, coyotes, and raccoons.
